I feel like each days gets better and better. I know it has not yet been a full week but I am seriously starting to love the whole teaching business. Though there are some students that absolutely get on my nerves there are many sweet students that are actually really good and make an effort to participate and to do well in class. Having said that...
yesterday I was feeling really good and so after school I decided to go for a run. It was SO nice. It was a short run by the river but it was one of those days in which you feel like super strong and can conquer the world. So I ran pretty hard and it felt great. The only thing I did not take into consideration is that at night there are a lot of mosquitoes. So I had to make sure to keep my mouth closed because otherwise I would have eaten hundreds of them. As I was running I could feel all of them stick to my body... kind of gross. When I got home and saw myself in the mirror I was majorly disturbed... my whole face and body were covered in a bunch a little mosquitoes. So of course I took a shower right away. Then... I did some laundry
I love doing laundry here because it is not like in Germany where you have to go the the basement of some building to do the laundry and carry it back and forth from place to place. Because I have my own laundry machine at my place it is super convenient and so I literally do laundry once or twice a week and don't mind it at all! which is a new experience.
After laundry I decided to do some Korean and so I went through this series of YouTube videos for learning Korean while eating some of the food that was left over from lunch. One of the co-teachers has a homeroom, which I think means she helps out with the lunch and so when she heard that I did not cook at all at home she offered to grab some extra food for me after lunch that I could take with me. She told me "it is not allowed but I can sneak you some food every once in a while" So yeah, this is super nice because once in a while I just get to take some food home and don't have to cook! always a plus.
one last note: today during lunchtime my alien registration card came in!!! along with my passport. pwwwweeh! I was kind of worried when I was told I had to leave my passport at the immigration office. So in about 30minutes Jacky is going to take me to the bank so I can finally open up my bank account, get my flight money reimbursed, and so I will be set to go for when my first paycheck comes in.
till next time
