1. ambulances are respected as much as they are in Mexico city. No matter how little traffic there is, the cars don't move for them. So ambulances often find themselves stuck in traffic.
2. there are lots of places in which one can smoke inside buildings.
3. women actually do smoke in public! I was once told women were rarely seen smoking in public
4. there ARE actually people around who speak some English
5. restaurants are very family/friend oriented... not really suited to go by yourself.
6. Koreans like to eat. a lot.
7. gotta watch out for the old folks here. They think they can do anything they want....oh, and better watch out for those old Korean ladies in the bus that will push you against the wall to get through the crowd
8. Koreans are on their phones 24/7 if not talking, then texting, listening to music, or watching tv in the subway
these are some of my observations for the week.
