This was another story. We got there and the transportation system was already better than andong. In andong, the buses did not even announce the bus stops. you literally had to know where you were going, and where to get on and off. So once we got to Kyongju we grabbed a cab to the Saragchae. (because I KNEW it was close by) this was the one room that i actually booked before we left. It was recommended to me by one of the teachers at school. You get a room in this one traditional Korean house so i guess you can get the traditional Korean house sleeping experience... or sth like that. At any rate. We got there super quick, got our room (You may see pics on facebook) which was a small and super simple room. and set out into the city.
complete different world from andong. Here, we were actually able to walk downtown and walk to all kinds of places and sites. Yes, we did lots of walking but that totally beats taking a 30min bus ride. We visited lots of places, got some food and then went back to the Sarangchae later that night. In the morning, we checked into another motel (since i had only reserved one night at the Korean house place), which was super nice. and set out again into the city. The thing i really liked was this one Bulgsuksa Temple (i think i just totally butchered the name) and the Grotto) it was really cool and i got some super cute earrings and a necklace, which is super original and super nice-hand made. (still trying to figure out who i want to give it to as a present. )..
later that day... off to Pusan!
